Midfielder and U.S. international Sam Coffey is under contract with Portland Thorns through the 2027 season. The contract extension was signed in 2024.
Coffey, now in her fourth season with the club, continues to play a key role in Portland’s midfield and leadership core.
Since joining the Thorns in 2021, Coffey has made 93 appearances across all competitions, recording four goals and consistently serving as a steady presence in the center of the park. She was named to the NWSL Best XI in both 2022 and 2023, and helped lead Portland to the 2022 NWSL Championship.
Internationally, she has earned 34 caps with the U.S. Women’s National Team, scoring twice and contributing to the team’s gold medal finish at the 2024 Olympic Games.
