Vignola was acquired via trade with Angel City near the end of the 2025 season and has since become a key piece in Portland’s defense.. The versatile defender is no stranger to the NWSL, playing four seasons for Angel City leading up to her trade announcement.
Vignola bypassed the NWSL draft and decided to play in Iceland for Valur (2021), and Thróttur Reykjavík (2020). While playing for Thróttur, she was able to score six goals in 12 appearances. After one season with Thróttur Reykjavík, she helped Valur become the Besta Delid Kvenna Champions during her lone season with the club. Using her unique skills to drive possession into the attacking half and intense one-on-one defense, she performed at a high level, which led to her signing a contract with Angel City in 2022.
The standout defender started her journey off at the University of Tennessee. Making 40 appearances and 39 starts throughout her four years, she recorded 12 goals and 11 assists. The production Vignola created earned her 2018 All-SEC Second Team honors and 2019 All-SEC First Team honors.
She was able to earn her spot with Angel City during the expansion team signing phase. In just her second year with the team, Vignola earned a spot on the NWSL Best XI Second Team. She is now looking to continue her impactful production on the pitch as a member of the Portland Thorns.
